Only a Couple Days till the Smoking Restriction

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009

So, my town has chosen a smoking ban for all public facilities, with only a short list exceptions. I am so sick and tired of my human rights dwindling down, I am tired. I can’t apprehend the reason non-smokers have such a sharp personal opinion on what us smokers want to do. Everyone knows that smoking is harmful, but I made a conscience decision when I began smoking, alert to the fact it was unhealthy. Just because non-smokers want me to cease, doesn’t mean that it will happen. Smoking in restaurants has been a privilage, but most restaurants include a approved smoking room. If non-smokers don’t want to inhale the smoke, don’t sit in the smoking room, you are not unwilling made to sit in the smoking section. And as well as the workers of these bars that comment they are tortured by second hand smoke, I don’t believe it. I worked in the service industry for over 10 years, and I know that the majority of thefellow workers were smokers.  Interacting with the public, always, drives you to smoke.  Personally, I have never heard one non-smoking co-worker ever protest about cigarette smoke while at work in the smoking room. Putting a smoking prohibition in restaurants and bars, can only save me money, for I won’t eat out after the January 1st.

All I want for the holiday: Smokes!

I have decided this christmas to beg for clear-cut gifts that my wife can pick up comfortably for me. My number one gift, as always, is my favored cigar from makers-mark-cigars.com. She won’t even have to depart from our home, she can go on the web (I have all my favorites sites saved) and place the order there. As far as other gifts, she can head over to the closest shop and pick out a gift. She argues every holiday that I am totally difficult guy to buy for. But we have been married for over 15 years! And if she doesn’t realize the things I want by now, I give up. I constantly say every December, “get me cigars”, I puff on 1 or 2 per day, and that adds up. I bought a humidor for keeping my cigars, “what’s that for?” my wife askes. Well my love, it’s to keep my stogies lively. So, if you get me smokes for christmas I can keep them in that for a few months and pull a stogie when I am wanting to enjoy one. Although I have to say, I was lucky last year, my wife gave me a lighter that was ingraved with my initials. The prior year, she bought me a fishing pole, because I said I wanted to go fishing again someday. Well, I went fishing only once in two years, but guess what, I still smoke 1-2 cigars a day. In the end what do I want for christmas this year? I want Cigars, and whatever else would just be an added delight.
